One-to-One Lessons

One-to-one guitar, bass guitar and ukulele lessons are personally delivered by director Peter Elliot in our studio in Bushey. Peter has extensive experience as both a performer and as a teacher, having helped hundreds of guitar, bass guitar and ukulele students achieve success over the past 15+ years. With an exceptional track record across all major exam syllabuses and a clear, structured approach to teaching, Peter has a wealth of experience to draw from to help you achieve your goals as quickly as possible whilst ensuring you have fun along the way.

For most younger learners, group lessons or home tuition may be a more suitable choice.

Online Lessons

We now offer online guitar lessons too so that you can learn with Peter in the comfort of your own home. We recommend using Zoom but are happy to use Google Meets too if you prefer.

Not sure whether to take lessons online or face-to-face? Why not read our blog, “The pros and cons of online music lessons”? To help you get the most out of your first online lessons, please read our blog, “How to get the most out of your Zoom guitar lessons”

How do I get started?

Simply get in touch and we’ll discuss exactly what you want out of the lessons, how they may work and whether or not one-to-one lessons are the best fit for you or if group lessons or home tuition may be more suitable. We can then go ahead and book in a taster lesson and take it from there.

You can pay for the first three lessons one at a time at:

  • £32 for 30-minutes
  • £40 for 40-minutes
  • £55 for 55-minutes

This way you can see if the lessons are right for you before committing to a set of lessons. Please see our lesson prices page for full details on the different lesson options available after the initial three taster classes.

Darren, acoustic guitar student

I’m a mid-40-year-old going through a mid-life crisis so I’m probably not the easiest person to teach but Peter has been fantastic. Not only does he know music inside out he can communicate at ease at all levels and ensures maximum benefit is achieved by the pupil. I’ve signed up for months of lessons and only wish I had done so 20 years ago!! A wonderful professional.

Jo, student and parent

My eight-year-old son began electric guitar lessons with Pete six months ago. We have been absolutely delighted with both the lessons and with Harry’s progress. Pete keeps him inspired by teaching fun popular pieces, so he doesn’t even notice that he is learning about technique, theory or the history of music. Pete is knowledgeable, talented, patient and kind and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn the guitar – I am even starting lessons myself.

Neel, parent

Under Pete’s guidance and excellent tuition, my 10-year-old son achieved Distinctions in his Guitar Grade 2 and Bass Grade 1 exams. Pete adopts a very structured and methodical approach to his coaching whilst maintaining an element of fun which has kept my son engaged and encouraged. Highly recommended.

Ben, electric guitar student

Pete is an incredible teacher. When I first walked in to his place you could tell he was an experienced, cool, calm and patient teacher. He teaches from all ages (I’m 26) and goes at your pace whilst encouraging you to try and push yourself to your inner Hendrix.
