Group Lessons
- Lesson fees are non-refundable unless there are no other students available to form a group of two or more students. In such instances, the student is entitled to a full refund of the lesson fee. One-to-one or home tuition may be the most suitable options in such instances, pending availability
- Sets of lessons are booked on a rolling basis. Therefore, any lessons remaining in the set will roll over into the following term, including into the next academic year
- If a student is unable to attend a lesson, neither a replacement lesson nor a refund will be offered
- Repeated disruptive behaviour and / or insufficient practise, resulting in a student falling too far behind the rest of the group to actively participate may lead to a student being excluded from the group with no refund offered
- Guitar Teacher Bushey may provide a cover teacher if necessary. In such cases advance notice will be given via text or email. Students are expected to attend these lessons and the usual T&C’s apply If a cover tutor is not available the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time
- A minimum of 6 weeks’ notice should be given in writing to terminate lessons
- An administration fee of £15 for each missed payment will be charged and the student may lose their space. For overdue fees, interest may be charged.
- Students must arrive on time and be picked up on time.
One-to-One Lessons
- If a student cannot attend the lesson for any reason including illness, the lesson will be charged in full unless a mutually convenient alternative can be agreed upon at least 48 hours in advance
- Lessons are transferable if the student is unable to attend as long as notice is given e.g. a sibling or parent may choose to take the lesson if the student is ill or away
- Sets of lessons are booked on a rolling basis. Therefore, any unused lessons will roll over into the following term, including into the next academic year
- Guitar Teacher Bushey may provide a cover teacher if necessary. In such cases advance notice will be given via text or email. Students are expected to attend these lessons and the usual T&C’s apply If a cover tutor is not available the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time
- A minimum of 6 weeks’ notice should be given in writing to terminate lessons
- Payment made by bank transfer or cheque must be carried out and cleared in advance of the lesson
- An administration fee of £15 for each missed payment will be charged and the student may lose their space. For overdue fees, interest may be charged.
- Students must arrive on time and be picked up on time. Please note we have very limited space for students to wait in our studio
Home Tuition
- Lesson times are approximate and due to traffic, tutors may arrive 15 minutes before or after the specified time. For arrival times outside of this window, they will get in touch to ensure that you are still able to take the lessons as planned or if you would prefer to reschedule
- The fee for the first lesson is non-refundable regardless of whether or not the lesson is taken. If the student is unhappy with the service for any reason, providing 48 hours’ notice has been given and during the initial set of lessons only, any remaining lessons will be refunded in full less any costs that may have been incurred
- After the first set of lessons, a refund cannot be issued during the course of lessons
- Payment for the first block of three lessons must be made directly to Guitar Teacher Bushey. Thereafter, payments should be made directly to the tutor as a direct agreement
- The tutor is permitted to alter the rates charged. At least 6 weeks’ notice will be given in writing in such cases
- A cover teacher may be provided. In such cases, notice will be given in advance in writing. All tutors hold an enhanced DBS, a degree in music and at least two years teaching experience
- A course of lessons must be taken at the same day and time each week in accordance with county school dates unless an exemption has been agreed upon in advance by the teacher and Guitar Teacher Bushey. A refund will not be offered if changes to the student’s schedule result in he/she being unable to attend lessons at the day and time agreed
- Lesson may be offered during county school holidays depending on the availability of the teacher. However, the student is under no obligation to book lessons and these will not be counted against the student
- The student may cancel or reschedule up to two lessons in a rolling 3-month period without charge pending the terms of the cancellation policy. Notice must be given to GTB and the tutor in writing; via text or email at least 48 hours in advance of the lesson
- A minimum of 6 weeks’ notice should be given in writing to terminate lessons
- Payment should be received by the tutor in advance of the set of lessons
- An administration fee of £15 for each missed payment will be charged and the student may lose their space. For overdue fees, interest may be charged.
- If for any reason the teacher is unable to deliver a lesson, it will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time
Online Lessons
- The fee for the first lesson is non-refundable regardless of whether or not the lesson is taken. - Lessons where the student has issues with the internet or their setup or equipment may still be charged in full, subject to the tutor’s discretion
- If the tutor has issues with their setup that mean they cannot deliver a lesson to the standard they would expect, they will reschedule the lesson at no extra charge
- If for any reason the teacher is unable to deliver a lesson, it will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time at no extra charge.
